合益泰小食 | Sham Shui Po

下午約1點去到深水埗，由港鐵站步行1-2分鐘，便可找到合益泰小食。遠處看見店外牆身寫着幾個大字:「滑溜腸粉 6元4條」。

We arrived Sham Shui Po at 1PM.  It took 1-2 minutes to walk from the station to the restaurant.  There are words written on the wall of the restaurant.  It could be seen even in the distance.  In English, it means 6 dollars for 4 rice noodle rolls.

店鋪屬舊式設計，空間比較迫，環境不算優雅，但還好有空調提供。當時店內擠滿食客，而舖頭外則有3名食客排隊。購買腸粉的食客只需於店外等候，所以不用多久便輪到我們。

The restaurant is in traditional style.  The space is tight, not a graceful environment.  Yet, you can experience the old Hong Kong dining culture.  In addition, air-conditioning is available.  It was crowded inside the restaurant.  Diner who wants to buy the rice noodle rolls only needs to queue outside the restaurant.  As there were only 3 diners waiting, it did not take too long for us.

門外擺放了一個銀色的鐵櫃。每當食客點腸粉時，店員就會打開鐵櫃的上蓋，一縷縷的蓋氣頓時從內裏冒出，入面放着很多未剪的腸粉。及後戴上手套的店員便會開始操刀。

There is a sliver colour metal cabinet which stores the rice noodle rolls.  Once diner order the food, waitress will open the cover.

腸粉櫃旁邊放着一架手推車，裝滿賣腸粉的用具和醬料，有豉油、蔴醬、甜醬、辣醬和芝麻。

「要幾多？」
「六蚊啦 唔該！」
「堂食定外賣？」
「外賣」

A trolley is placed next to the metal cabinet.  Kitchen implements and seasonings are put on it.  The seasonings include soy sauce, sesame paste, sweet soysauce, chilli sauce and sesame.
 

姐姐收到order後手起刀落，不消一會，一包扎好的腸粉就放在臉前。其實腸粉設有外賣及堂食，選堂食的，不會套上膠袋，腸粉放到置有牛油紙的膠碟上，食客需要拿着，到店門口站着進食，而膠碟亦需於進食後歸還。由於店外空間有限，所以我地選擇外賣到街口食。

The photo shows the waitress was adding seasonings into the cut rice noodle rolls.  Diner could choose dine-in or take-away.  For dine-in, the rice noodle rolls will be put on a plastic plate with butter paper in between.  Diner has to stand outside the restaurant and then enjoy the food.  After finish eating, diner needs to return the plastic plate.  Due to the limited space outside the restaurant, we choose take-away and enjoy the food at the junction.



腸粉味道不算特別出眾，而且每條腸粉剪得不夠短，比較難入口。但勝在口感夠滑，而且價錢實惠，性價比高，絕對是深水埗平民小食的其一代表。

The taste of rice noodle rolls was not outstanding.  It was common.  The rolls should be cut shorter, so as to eat easily.  But the mouthfeel was smoother than normal.  Also the price is fair enough!  We would totally recommend this rice noodle rolls.  It is definitely one of the representative populace snack in Sham Shui Po.
