最近應讀者提議到劉森記試食
事前小編做資料搜集時發現深水涉有兩間劉森記
一間在桂林街 另一間在福榮街
但網上的資料並沒有明顯提給兩者的分別
於是小編便根據Openrice的好評指數選擇桂林街那一間

Due to one of our audience's suggestion, we (SPD4459 Sham Shui Po's Foodie) visited Lau Sum Kee Noodle.  Before the visit, we found out there are two Lau Sum Kee Noodle in Sham Shui Po.  Searching from the Internet, we were not able to find the difference.  Finally, we made the decision base on the preference from Openrice: the branch in Kweilin Street.








當天星期六下午五時到達食店
剛好有一枱結帳 不用等位
雖然食客不太多 但由於店舖面積小
所以仍然坐得擠迫
姐姐清理桌子時 小編問她兩間劉林記的分別
姐姐二話不說 就答兩間都是一樣的

We arrived the restaurant at 5pm on Saturday.  Luckily, some of the diners finished their meal when we have arrived the entrance.  So we did not need to wait outside.  To a certain extent, it can be classified as a tiny restaurant.  Although there were less than 15 diners, the space was still tight.  We asked the waitress about the other Lau Sum Kee Noodle in Fuk Wing Street.  She pointed out they are the same immediately.

There were many newspaper and magazine clippings on the wall of the restaurant.  Among those, two photos of famous restaurant critic (Mr Chua Lam) and the restaurant owner were also placed on it.



每張桌上都擺放着一些調味品
其中有一罐透明密封玻璃瓶
內裏放着醃制過的蘿蔔條

There were some seasonings on each table.  A glass bottle of preserved daikon was provided for diners.

大部分食物的價格界乎於HKD30-40
小編今次點了酏名蝦子撈麵、
招牌淨雲吞及細淨牛腩牛筋
五分鐘後食物便續一送上

The price of a main dish is around HKD30 to 40.  We ordered noodle with shrimp eggs, specialty wonton and small-sized beef tendon and brisket.  The food was served 5 minutes after we ordered it.
蝦子撈麵會跟一小碗清湯
其實小編不知道撈麵跟清湯的作用
一直以為清湯是用來沾濕太乾的麵
麵上灑上一大堆蝦子 食前建議先撈匀
用6呎長竿壓出的竹昇麵果然十分彈牙
味道不錯 值得推介
The noodle with shrimp eggs was served with a small bowl of soup which we guess the function of it is to let the dry noodle wetter.  It is suggested to mix the shrimp eggs well with noodle before enjoying the dish.  The texture of the noodle was springy.  We totally recommend this dish.


而招牌淨雲吞的雲吞皮可以更薄
餡料的蝦可以更豐富

The specialty wonton was fair.  There were two areas to improve.  The wrapper was not thin enough.  The amount of shrimp, which is one kind of the filling, was not enough.

另外 細淨牛腩牛筋的味道亦不錯
但有少部分牛腩比較乾比較'柴'
同行友人說他去過福榮街那間劉森記
那次點的淨牛腩牛筋內質較淋

The taste of small-sized beef tendon and brisket were nice.  But, a small amount of the briskets were a bit dry.





結帳三款食物共HKD103
- 蝦子撈麵HKD33
- 招牌淨雲吞HKD25
- 細淨牛腩牛筋HKD45

The price of the three dishes was HKD103.
- Noodle with shrimp eggs HKD33
- Specialty wonton HKD25
- Small-sized beef tendon and brisket HKD45
